My name is Grace Louise, I'm originally from Michigan, but moved to Chicago for college where I earned a BA from DePaul in Communication & Media. Later, I hope to go to grad school for counseling.

 

I started painting in high school because I didn't know what else to do with my time. It slowly grew into something I could use to alleviate my anxiety, especially when the pandemic started.

 

I paint naked people. Bodies are lovely, they should be normalized in all their forms. Any large scale paintings I do have been built and stretched by me with table-saw help from my dad. Most of my paintings are based on photographs of myself or others.
